- Does the beacon slow the page down? It is a vendored copy of Google’s web-vitals 4.2.4, loaded async, reporting once per page after the metrics settle. Bot traffic is rejected and reports are rate-limited per IP.
- Where does the data go? Into your own database, and nowhere else. No field measurement — no LCP, no interaction, no page profile — is ever sent off the site by either tier; the only thing that leaves is what the Pro AI advisor is handed when you press it (see §14). The free plugin’s own performance work does make HTTP requests, and every one of them is aimed at your site or at an asset your own pages already load: the page profiler fetches each URL you audit or batch-scan (§1), the pre-update snapshot fetches your front page (§5), the asset inventory sends a HEAD per script and stylesheet it finds to read its size, and the recovery drill makes a real loopback call to your own secret panic route (§6). None of them carries a measurement, and none of them is aimed at us. The one part of the free download that does reach api.avakode.com is the shared Forge suite layer bundled with every product: the dashboard’s API health check, when you open that screen, and the NPS feedback box, when you answer it. Neither carries a measurement either.
